Lambert’s Salad Bar — Westwood & Dorchester, MA

Most grocery store salads sit in a plastic clamshell for who knows how long before you grab one. Ours don’t. Everything at Lambert’s salad bar gets built to order, the same day, using the same produce we sell up front, the kind that’s usually been in the store for less time than your commute home. That’s the whole point of running a produce market with a deli counter attached: the vegetables were never going anywhere else.

We keep six salads on the regular menu, plus party-size trays for anyone feeding a crowd through our catering menu. Grab one on your way through the store in Westwood or Dorchester, or place an order ahead online for pickup or delivery.

What’s actually in the bowl

Caesar Salad — Romaine, shaved parmesan, and a classic Caesar dressing, tossed fresh when you order it, not the morning before.

Garden Salad — The straightforward one: mixed greens and whatever’s crisp that day from the vegetable case up front, so it changes a little with the season.

Greek Salad — Cucumber, tomato, red onion, kalamata olives, and feta over greens, dressed with a Greek vinaigrette.

Cobb Salad — A full meal in a bowl: greens layered with, avocado, tomato, and blue cheese, the way a Cobb is supposed to be built.

Antipasto Salad — Italian deli meats and cheeses over greens with marinated vegetables. Good option if you want something heartier than a green salad but don’t want a sandwich.

Fresh Party Salads — Same salads, bigger format. Order these for office lunches, family gatherings, or anything where you’re feeding more than two or three people.

If you’re planning something bigger, our Cobb Salad and Antipasto Salad catering trays run alongside the rest of our platter menu, so you can mix salads in with sandwich trays and veggie platters on one order.

Why the produce side matters here

This is the part a lot of delis can’t say honestly: the same team stocking the salad bar is stocking the produce aisles a few feet away. When lettuce, tomatoes, or cucumbers come in, they’re going into both places at once. There’s no separate “salad bar supplier” cutting corners on a back contract.
